GREAT FAITH BELIEVES IN GOD
This lady came to Jesus not because she was a Jew, but she came to Jesus because she knew who Jesus was. She did not come to Jesus on the basis of what He had done before or what He had not done. She came to Jesus on the basis of who He was.
Jesus told her that "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel"
Jesus was addressing this woman according to what He was supposed to do at that time. This woman came to Jesus in pursuit of who Jesus is. She said, "You are the son of David. You are the Messiah that is supposed to come, not only for the Israelites but for the whole of mankind.” The grace of God gave her this revelation before time. On the basis of this fact, she said, "Since you are the Messiah, the saints before us looked forward to the cross and they were saved.” Today we look back. She told Jesus who He was. She put a claim on Jesus for who He is. She believed in Jesus without wavering.
